You can weld with the 5000 and bigger amps, hehehe.

The 16kD and 12kD share the same voltage on power supply, difference is that 16kD has lower voltage drop (more power), but both are monsters because they feature our new electronic design, took us 2 year developing it and we think this won't be seen on other amps for a while.

I don't know why you would want to run it at 1/2 ohm... running such high internal voltage it will run very well at 1 and 2 ohms.
