I'm considering getting rid of my 40.1's and getting 2 SD 5000.1. This would be in my daily/demo vehicle. I have plenty of alternator and battery power for 14k so I should be set on a proper electrical. My main question and concern is the small footprint. I'm worried over-heating might be an issue if I play music at full tilt for a full 3 minute song or just constant demo'ing all day long at a show.
Any input would be great and Murilo, please chime in if you have any info. I'd really hate to burn up one of them bad boys

one question for you bro.. I saw in db dons review that he described like a noise the amp had.. He says its possibly from the fans. Now is that noise put through into the woofers?
Does it cause like a ground loop whine? If you get what I'm asking

Bro you if you dont have any experience with the amps dont make assumptions because your making an ass out of yourself to everyone that has heard/used SD amps. A good friend of mine has an SD 8k with 2 tsns 15's and it sounds phenominal. Yes, the fans do make some noise (the noise isnt through the subs but just audible noise but the amp puts out its rated power and more! Bang for your buck its the best amp on the market. I havent seen or heard one negative review of any of the SD amps. I was skeptical of the power output out of the small footprint the amp has but after hearing it I was stunned. We beat on the amp at full tilt for hours and the amp was still room temp. Before you bash SD hear or try it yourself

Pretty sure he was asking a couple questions pertaining to someone elses review. No need to jump the gun.

SD amps donīt need external fans for your low heating. The internal cooler start only if the temperature exceed 40°C for your microcontroler management. But is very quiet to stay internal.

SD500.4AB is different, he are class AB and the cooler start on power on. Your SD8000.1D start the cooler only above 40°C.
