I'm kind of partial to the XS Power batteries. get the biggest one that will fit under your hood.

If you just want to add something in the back, look into the Stinger SP1000 or SPV44. Or XS Power D975

so I ended up ordering the Hifonics Brutus BXI2010D. But i noticed on some websites it was rated at 2000 watts @ 1-ohm and on others it was listed as 2000 watts @ 1.5-ohm. can someone please explain why?

also on the amp kit should i go 4-ga or 0-ga?

I went 0-ga...if you download the PDF for that amp, it says to run 0-ga. Mine should arrive in a couple of weeks, hopefully I chose wisely with wiring sizes.
