got a question. if i have a amp that goes down to 1 ohm. and the speakers are wired up to equal 0.5 ohm. will this hurt the amp or speakers?

i would think not unless you have no box rise.....i am always cautious not to burn an amp so maybe this isnt the the best way to wire your speakers. treat your amp right and it will last along time, push it to its maximum potential and it will eventually fail. like redlining a car motor it will do it time and time again but is it good for it??????? just my opinion.........
