SD, I have seen a few 16v power tests with the 8000.1 and the numbers were pretty ridiculous considering the size of the amp.

I have seen the terminals of SD amps shorted out at moderate volume levels and the amp just goes in protect and a few seconds later comes out of it and continues to play music [Eek!]

The sd8k is a nice LIL amp it has speaker protect the amp makes its power at 12.6volts 1ohm It can also be droped down and stay lit at 7.8 volts to where all the amps i tested anything below 9 you see magic smoke. You can also puta18+ to it. On 17.3 we made 14k at 1.7ohm. you can run them daily just make sure you have 2 nsb and a good alt to maintain the voltage to keep them batterys charging. This amp is also smaller then Any amp out there in its power range. This LIL amp is no joke i hope i answered all your questions.
