Well tested this amp at 0.5 ohms after finalizing the up graded wiring, on a NSBg2700.

amps 56.7
volts 95.7
watts 5426
box rise 1.7
voltage drop is 10.2 at the amp

Pretty good voltage drop. Strong azz amp

And don't forget to mention that amp does same power at .25 rising to 1.1ohms. Just so people don't say drop it lower and get more power.

Is this just for "Street" cause you are limited to battery power thus can't make any more dropping lower, or is it amp design and no matter what battery power you have you can't get more power from lower loads?

It is a street application... if you back this amp up with alot of battery you will see much bigger numbers... plus if im not mistake it can run on 16v

Its made for any amplication, but because you cant get but so much from a group 2700 battery, 0.5 ohms and 0.25 ohms gives the same amount of power. But lower ohms on the group 3100 may be different! Hey buy this amp and test it on a group 3100 battery!! [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

85.2 amps
6159.96 watts.

Here are some more power readings. So compare and contrast and come up with your own conclusion.
Nominal load 0.5ohms sub + one NSBg-3100 (UNDER THE HOOD NOT NEXT TO THE AMP)

Box rise 1.70
Votage drop to 10.3v (at amp, average)
103.2 volts (average)
60.5 amps (average)
6243.5 watts
Now, lets see you look at it objectively and give me your feedback. There is one MAJOR difference with these results then the previous ones.

But look at the box rise!!! It is double!! So on the NSBg-3100 with the proper wiring, I could drop the impedance and maybe get another 200watts. But I also have to say, that this is the average power I got. I tested the amp, giving the battery a strong charge and an okay charge. With the battery resting at 13.1 I got around the 5900 watts area. If the battery rested at 13.5 got around 6200 watts. If I burped it with the battery at 13.8 I got around 6500 watts. On the average I got 6200 watts. But more consistantly it was 6100+. But that is still damm good for a single amp.

Your box rise is going to go higher and higher when you apply more and more power, thats for sure.. But now that you see you can that power and the amp coming out of its "sweet" spot, I'd say now drop your load to bring that box rise back down to the sweet spot and really see some power.

Actually not the case. His box rise is only doubled because he doubled his nominal impedance. His point is that with the amp dropped to low impedance wise amp was not gaining power just loosing efficiency. could he gain a little more power if he dropped amp to maybe .35ohms with a rise to around 1.2-1.5ohms? Probably but just a couple hundred watts at most that would relate in maybe couple tenths.

But when you say "big power" this amp won't do much over 6500w consistent on a G3100 once perfectly dialed in with his set up.

How he double his norminal impedance if all he changed was the battery? He didn't say anything about changing subs?

The sub is the same, the impedance is different. But that is besides the point. I am saying with the upgraded power wiring, and using the same g3100, I got the same power numbers at 0.5 nominal as I got with 0.25 nominal. So, I am going to drop the impedance down to 0.35 to see if I gain any more power.
