2 - RF T4000s
2 - BTL 18s (2008 model)
4 - Kinetic 2400s
1 - 165 amp alt

Bassraced 150.0
Burp - 152.5 @ 47 hertz

So these amps draw alot of current, at full tilt I drop to 11.2 volts. I am thinking of chaging some things around, perhaps doing a wall with some DC Level 5 18s, and was wondering if it is worth it to change amps, or will my current draw be BAD with any amps pulling 10,000 watts of power.

Can I get louder with more efficient amps? Any thoughts on this, otherwise I'll try to just keep supplying these amps with more batts and a better alt eventually.

I'm not sure. When i go full tilt on the lowest notes i can drop to 11.2 volts off of 4 kinetic 2400s.

is this for competition? or just daily use?

if it NEVER goes to show, modding the amps leave huge options

i would recommend keeping the amps and adding a lot more battery . two batts per any 4k amp are just enough for burping ,but bass racing requires a lot more no matter what brand of 4k amp your talking about . you could always buy two more and add a ton more battery ( literally )

i say keep the amps and add batts...maybe focus on re-arranging them if possible to allow for more to fit.

x2 - you need to feed those amps before you change them out. They try and draw 800 total and you have a 165 amp alt for both to share....unless your looking at using less power because you cant feed what you already have, i say keep them.

if your lookin to get rid of them for no reason other then a brand change, i say go for it if thats how you feel, but your still gonna need to upgrade your electrical no matter what brand you run - unless your gonna down size. You are really only supplying your amps with about 1/4 of what they want I dont know how much more efficiency your lookin for - i think the T4000.1bd is pretty efficient.

Yeah, thats what I was thinking Steve, and the birthsheets on these amps are 4,960 + 5,050.

I'm gonna keep working on my electrical system as I get more $$. I remember you doing 158+ bassrace (unofficial) on 2 RF T4000s.

I figure any 10,000 watt system will need much more of an electrical upgrade than what I have done so far, back to work ....

What about only using one amp? Might see a gain out of it [Wink]

First thing i would do is upgrade the alt especially since your a daily driver/bassracer i think that would be the first priority to get a 250+alt and then 2 more batts.

320 alt should be here in about a week.

I am not sure why one amp would be louder than two. That is saying 4000 watts > 8000 watts.

The reason why he is saying that because your amps may pull way too much amperage.... and your electrical system can't handle it.... it may work better with just 1 amp.... That's why you have to test your car on everything.... It may or may not be better.... who knows? and do you really know that your amps push out 4K watts? Once again you have to test ....Bill knows because he has done it through experience... Just try and see... you would be amazed what you truly find out that adding 1 amp may only help very little... if at all..

Dude, you got some good advice here. I agree with Meade. When he talks.. almost everyone listens!! Yank an amp and try again with you setup as is, check for gains, if none then change out. Just exhaust everything possible before you go spending more money! Trust me, if had taken this advice long ago, I wouldn't be in the red now! lol
