LINCOLN, Neb. – When KICKER designs a product to last, our gear literally gets put to the test!
Late last year at a local Circuit City, a customer came in driving a Pontiac Grand Prix that had recently been broken into.
The thieves broke through the trunk and stole his speakers, gear, and his stereo. Everything was stolen, except for his KICKER ZX350.4 Amplifier, which, luckily, was mounted under his spare tire. They just missed it!
In their hasty escape, the thieves left the trunk of the car open, where it was rained on throughout the night. The amplifier was submerged in water for almost seven days! KICKER associate Steve Abbott was there to check it out.
“Because there was live current in the pool of water in the spare tire well,” Steve explained, “the amp looked like it had been sitting on the bottom of the Titanic it had rusted so badly.”
Out of curiosity, he hooked the amp to the test board in the Circuit City install bay, and the power light came on. He then decided to hook up RCA cables and run them to a speaker, and to everyone’s amazement, all four channels still played!
Hey, this even amazes us! If ever there was a testament of LIVIN’ LOUD, this has got to be it. KICKER products literally rule in... and out... of the water!

it always suckes when you spend your hard earning money on a nice sound system and someone has to ruin it and steel your system but it is awsome that this guy amp still works
