Please Help!! I have an older Punch Power 250x2 trying to push to 10" AudioBahn Alum10's. I have the voice coils wired in parallel, then I have the negative going to the negative of the left channel, and the positive going to the positive of the right channel. What load is my amp seeing? How can I get more to it? Am I maxing this amp out?

What amps will give me 600-700watts RMS and how much are they? I am kind of on a budget. Thanks.

Just makes sure the speaker load is across the outer speaker terminals.
I'm not very familiar with the 250x2 myself, because I was never lucky enough to own one (I came --> | <-- THAT close), but that amp is capable of about a thousand watts bridged at two ohm.

It should be BEATING on those subs.. If it isn't, something is wrong.

Hmmm... Are they 4 ohm coils? If so, then you have the amp bridged on a 2 ohm load (or 2 ohm mono) so I would say the amp is pretty much maxed out.

There is not any way to further lower the impedance (without adding another speaker or an impedance matching transformer) and really no need to go any lower.

They are 6ohm coils. Hope that helps. Does that mean the amp is at 1.5 mono? It hits pretty hard now that I have it wired that way, and doesn't seem to get too hot. Am I maxed as far as the amp is concerned? Anyone know where I can pick up another one?
