Topic: Bxi2006d - Daily at .5 ohm??
I just bought a Hifonics Bxi2006d and am getting ready to buy 2 12" subs. The question is, should I get dual 2 or dual 4 ohm versions? Has anyone had experience running this amplifier at .5 ohm? Or would it be safer to keep it at 1 ohm? Thanks -------------------- 2002 Isuzu Rodeo. (2) 12" T3 Audio T.S.S. (1) Hifonics Brutus BXi2006D (1) Kinetik KHC2400 Stock Alternator

Not at 16V Gavin. These amps are 14V amps and will protect at a little over 16 volts. Also, the reactive will drop dramatically with the increase in Voltage and output power going from 13/14V to 16V and will be far too low for daily. -------------------- **Maxxsonics **Team Forum **YouTube Channel **

don't listen to john I've run all my hifonics/maxxsonics amps low imps and never had a problem, you probably won't have warranty, but that's the best way to get rated power is run them low enough that imp rise gets you reactive of max rms rated imp I'd recommend using the subsonic very close to tuning and you should be ok --------------------
