I hear ya, Thats why I PMed you over on CA. I've been looking for actual users not people that can tell everything about a product off a few pictures on the Internet I wish I knew more about the internals of an amp to make a more educated decision. I've seen a few in action, but it's been in a burp application. I'm glad I've found a few people who have used them daily as I think it 's something I want to try in my truck. I was trying my best to provoke an educated discussion over on SMD.

we,ve sold several 2k6d's to customers, and a few 7kd's to be used daily. we haven't had any problems with any of them. the only complaint i've ever heard was a guy that had one in an extended cab truck mounted near his head said the fan was loud, and they are.

Hi all
I think this is interesting, STETSOM has just come to the US, we have over 20 Years of existing in Brazil, we have the biggest FACTORY in all South America and probably North America as well, i don't know about your company but we intend to be here for many years if god permits. We have our own engineering department in Brazil not abroad. We are not interested in "wars" with other companies but are defenatly not afraid of the market, we are here to show what we can do, if you want to test a 7K D at your home base please feel free to do it, i know that you will like it, and thats a general feeling for does who test the Amps.
Best Regards
Lets all play loud!
I know we will!
Stetsom,
If someone has your amps here in Japan and they smoke it, who / where will they have to send it to get it repaired? and does using your amps in SPL comps void coverage?

omg I think I feel a bit dumber reading some of those posts from those other forums.
Clearly alot have not even touched the amp. Anyone who has will understand that the 16 volt version does need multiple runs of 1/0 and a solid 14+ volts. There are some internal mods that you can do to get a bit more power but stock daily driving with a 1 ohm load is sick power output still. I will have the 12v version next week hopefully so I can compare the two and provide a bit better explanation of whats what and answer any questions with solid numbers and measured facts. Good or bad you will see what I see. dtbrown and Mike and Mark Regner(Team RipRock) shared some info with me while I tested and they know alot about the 7kd it helped with initial setup as I expected to push it to rated impedence but it does alot lower. Installation is key with these amps so overbuild the install and have the best available current/voltage for the situation and you will be just fine.
With that said, I have no idea why people insist on having product wars. The only real thing that matters, is if it serves the purpose you bought it for, and at a price that could not be beat. If it fills those two requirements and comes with great warranty/support you can't go wrong with any product you buy.

I agree that the other boards have been confusing to say the least. Too much product hate and not enough educated statements make it hard for someone like me to decide on what kind of power to put to my system.
On one side I have this new product that says it can do this and that, however comes with all kinds of talk, on the other side I have a trusted name that may or may not have less power. I've built a few systems but now I have an opportunity to build a really powerful system. My lack of knowledge on the bits and pieces of an amp just makes all this more confusing.
I'm also in awe of how people can tell how something will or won't work from a picture. All I see is a board or 2 in this case some black canisters and two wire covered donuts
I wish the nay sayers could contribute more then to say it won't or can't work so the stupid people like myself can figure out what to get.

hi all.... i have the first 4 stetsom 7kd's to hit the us in my car, i run them daily at 1 ohm and have been doing so for the past 4.5 years. i took them to finals the first and third year that i had them in my car and qualified for nationals the second year. at 12v i have seen a 160.7 burp and they are bad ass for music too, again these amps are almost five years old and they still have the factory fusing in them, i have done no modifications to the amps at all, for you guys that want to use these amps for daily driving and pounding out the bass they are the shi+!!!!!! i have used lots of amps and burned my share but these stetsom amps are really strong and will take it, if you burn these amps it is cause you took them way way past where they should be. in daytona last year i ran two amps at ,125 ohms and still did like a 58+ just to show that they can take it,,,,would i suggest you doing it? no the amps wanted to clip so paulino som from brazil helped me take a bass atinuater knob and we cut the rca's and soldered it in line cause i couldnt roll it slow enough to stay out of clip, but they did it!!!! i could have ran 4 amps at .5 and taken second place but,,,,,to prove a point,,,,dont listen to these people that are slamming these amps they are the real deal and i stand behind them 100% the guys from brazil are awesome for technical support and Jeff Brown is doing a good job here in the us. any more questions you can pm me and i will help you as much as i can,,,,
