I have ran them at those kind of loads daily and not had any problems, but I'm sure its not reccomended. The amount of power depends on how your system reacts.

I can't believe this post is still going. I've missed a lot, but I can tell you one thing. I am still running mine and probably buying more. They are just that good.

Hey eric me and zack will be testing one in my eclipse against a sundown3000 soon at .35 and .7 with around 1.2 reactive. I will let you know how the test goes (SPL side and output side).
I have a new project in the works these amps might come in handy for

pm me the results too if you will I have a 4hp and am stuck at .7ohms atm, I'm hoping to find another 5200 top or recone it with ss XXX parts I'd like to get a 1.4ohm final load again, one coil lost a leadwire so I'm currently using 2 1.4ohm coils running .7 lol...

I did a quick test the other day with my GP3000D at a 1.2 ohm nominal load. Here's what I got:
88.1 volts 22.1 amps which=1947 watts that makes the reactive load 3.98ohms
That's a crazy amount of power that this amp makes at the impedence I had it at. It made 1947 watts at 3.98 ohms. Just imagine if I could get the box rise down into the 1-2 ohm reactive area. I would more than likely double my power output without adding another amp to my setup. My guess is that at a 1 ohm reactive load with the amp at 14.4 volts with the car running it is capable of making 4000+ watts. Look at what it makes at 14.4 in my car at 3.98 ohms. I can take a video of this testing if anyone is skeptical of it or would like to see it happen. Just let me know and I'll do it.

price going to stay the same because i think it would be stupid to raise cost considering the older ones sold like hotcakes "unless" the new build cost is obviously more but i think sticking with the same amp that sold out cuz the price would be a good idea.

I was alluding to the other amps in the current lineup: GP1500D and GP2500D. Imagine it they were redesigned as a 1KW and 2KW amp that exceeded rated power @ 14v,was 16v stable out the box and be strapable?
how sick would that be

Just new look and a few upgrades.
This is awesome news. I currently have 2 of them in my setup and I cannot say enough good things about them. My poor car on the other hand is begging for me to remove them. I have shattered my windshield, broken my rear view mirror off of the metal piece that holds it on the windshield, one sun visor is broken, I've sheared 2 bolts off of my spoiler, and I sheared 1 bolt off the assembly that holds the back window wiper blade. For the system I have, I can't really express how impressive it sounds.
I am looking forward to picking up a couple more of these things.
