Has anyone succesfully run these amps at 16-18 volts? Any failures at that voltage? I might try these out this year depending on the answers i get. How many Kinetiks or equivilent batteries to maintain a decent voltage per amp and keep the power supplies healthy. Where do they make max power? 1/2 ohm 1 ohm? I know alot depends on the rise in the box but an estimate would be helpful.

Thanks for the no bs reply thats so hard to get around here. I wanted to be sure they could handle the juice before I bought a bunch of 16v batteries.
Oh, and 9.6V! Those must have some solid power supplies to go that low and not hurt the amp.

Thanks man

They run up to 19 without any problems.

Most of the testing I did was with 2 6500s on 8 v195 8 volts. Batts dropped to around 15 if I remember correctly. They did a little over 7K ea. Ran at .35 ea. They are very hungry amps. Without a big enough bank output drops off a lot when you start running more amps.

They are strong and reliable. My only complaint would be how long they stay in protect if they go in to it.

yes please tell. I'm probably going to use 4 or 8 of the 10000s depending on the performance of the first 4. I was thinking like 24 batts to start.

All depends on the kind of batts.

I don't know anyone running 8 SS amps that has too much battery.

Where you from in the midwest Drunky?

They're gonna say oh SH...!!! when they find out I'm comin' back. I was trying to stay low and sneak up on some of my buddies out east. I'm in Colorado Springs, Colorado. And thanks for the help so far man. And BTW I already have 2 ss10k. I'll probably run a total of eight at finals this year, but only need 4 to get there.
