Is this amp really this powerful, or am i just stupid?
ive blown three TS-W5102SPL subs with this amp. and i dont mean just blew them, there completely dead. and the amp wasnt completely turned up. either its super powerful, or im doing something wrong.
any input?

gain was at 3/4 and the "Distortion Knob" or the Bass Remote was set as low as it can go.

The gain is not a volume knob. You can achieve rated power with it all the way down if that setting for example is 3v and your head unit happens to be shuffling IN 3v.

And your 'boost' circuitry ADDs gain (usually taking advantage of head room in the design)

So maybe your just getting full rated power out of it, and it's just too much for your subs. I suggest doing some searches on setting gains to better understand your situation.

but the max rated power on my birth sheet is 2800 watts and the sub can handle 6,000.
yes i know im not supposed to play it at max for a while, and i didnt. the woofer is rated 2500 rms and thats around what im putting into it... shouldnt it be just fine?

2500 watts of Distortion (square wave) can kill any woofer. Whether you have a 10,000 watt woofer or a 5000 watt woofer.
