Here's the deal. I have an old zapco studio 500 that is in perfect working shape. the heatsink has some scratches on it, but it still performs the way it did when it was new. I have one XXX 15 running off it right now, and i was thinking about competing some next year. To be competitive at all i'm going to need more power than 1200 watts on that sub. So, should i sell or trade my zapco and get a new amp? If i sell/trade it what amp should i get? My sub is of the dual 2 ohm coil variety.

well if i did decide to sell it.... How much should i sell it for?

I really don't want to, but i know i'm not giving the sub enough juice to perform to its potential.

i guess i could pretty much name my price since the amp is no longer around.

I'm going to try and see if i can get a new amp without giving the amp up, so i can have a new sub amp, and i can move the zapco to my front speakers.
