Ok...In order to port my 8"ers. I'm gonna have to put 2 subs in each box with one port.

Is there anything you have to change when porting 2 subs with one port? If I tune the box to 40hz..is that tuned for both subs? I'll be using twice the airspace so they each have enough. This also helps shorten the length of the port...which I definitely need to do.

For a pair of 8s, a 4" vent is minimum. In that 2 cuft box, that would be a vent 8-12 inches long - the longer being lower tuning.

Do you think I'll get a lot of port noise with only a 4" port?

or should it be alright?

I would make sure to use AeroPort style flanges, the ones Rockford dealers sell.. You can also get them from PR ports.

One on each end, adds up to 4 flanges and 0 port noise (well, not zero, but you know )

A single 4" should be okay if you round over the inside edges of the port. There may still be some at high volumes, but not really too offensive.
The Aeroport recommendation is a good one.
