I think since Tim's embarassment with that huge woofer self destructing and the stunt he pulled at the finals, he's gone into seclusion to rethink his game plan

Tim is the MAN! He's using Crossfire!! 80 amps on 40 RF 10 DVC's. It is reported(more than 1 source) that every time he turns it on has to literally sweep out his interior of parts of the rf subs. He's launching them all over the place. Crossfire is in the process of making him subs that can handle the power. I heard some dB #'s , but I'm not sure i believe it just yet. The only reason I do believe it is because he is running 80,000 watts RMS!!

Well, I don't know too much about the guy, but I think it was wrong of him to be banned for proving a point and admitting to what he did... Oh well, JMO.
I hope he does well, and am glad he's trying something new!

Yeah "The Bomb" kinda fizzled. It was an interesting concept that just didn't work out very well. We will just have to see what he will come up with next. I hope that his new system works out. So he has 40 tens and 80 amps? That is a lot of equipment. What vehicle is all of this in?

Personally I think Tim should be banned for life from all sanctioning organizations for his stunt at USAC. Plus he has done other things to get him in trouble with the law lately, which should be considered as an insult to the industry. Just a thought.

At the USAC finals, Tim purposely spiked the mic to bring into the open a technical loophole allowing tampering to post phoney SPL numbers. I don't agree with what he did, but he did expose a game that a few are suspect of playing.....

I heard that he had the mic plug in his door rigged to input a signal directly to the meter. He did it to prove a point that there is a way to cheat and there may be more people that are doing it. If you will notice, there is a rule change stating that pass through XLR plugs are no longer allowed.

Tim has been cheating for years... Even when I used to work for him. AND IT WAS NOT the fact that he cheated that got him banned, it was his actions towards USAC after the fact. It is usually NOT too smart to threaten a sanction with physical violence and legal action. He is a 1980's installer, and if he does over 165... he is cheating. Ofcourse for legal reasons... This is just the general concensus...hehe... I am not saying this to damage him in any way. He IS SOON to have Crossfire subs too.
