I have decided to redo a couple of aspects of my sq system. I am going to use drawer slides to make some parts of the system "quick release" for easier servicing. Problem is, I have yet to find connectors that are up to par. I planned on the drawer slides to line up connectors and then a home window lock to keep it in place, but what kind of connectors??? They need to carry power (8ga min) RCA and 6 speaker channels. Any help on this will be greatly appreciated!!

Ron

EFX by Scosche (sp) offers a 4 pin molex type connector.
Additionally, when we made the Mustang a full pullout we used a 4ga power connector from PG, Female RCAs from EFX and Litespeed silver connectors for the speaker wire (which could be used for twisted pair RCAs also). Look for Litespeed connectors at a hobbyshop dealing with battery RC cars - we use them for the battery and motor connections in them. They come singly but connect together for custom molexes as large as you want. And yes they are pricey.

Dukk, thank you again!! I hadn't even thought about those connectors. Now that I do, I have them on my R/C at home. Now I'm going to have to get it out.... Time to play with my Tamiya!!!

Dude, I got a Midnite Pumpkin (with stereo!) for play time and a Losi XT for race time. My next is an RS4 Nitro (getting tired of recharging).

The litespeed connectors kick!

All I've got for now is my Tamiya AMG Hammer Benz... with ball bearings, sway bars, a midnight motor and skyline gearset, and titanium prop shaft. My son is going to be with me this summer, and we had planned on completely rebuilding it, doing some racing (it used to do pretty well) and then I'm gonna let him take it home. He's soo excited!
