first...a week or so ago...i made a statement that was ignorant...i made a judgement on rockford fosgate...period...im sorry when i first got the punch he2 sub for girlfriend...i was blown away...

with that said...i went to best buy(lol)...and looked at subs...considering my girl needed somethin to show off at school next wednesday...and the 2 10 yr old blaupunkt subs...that are halfway blown and handle 100 rms(being run from a jbl bp 600.1) aint cuttin it...lol

anyway went to the store...got her a punch he2....holds 400 rms...sounds good....i goto zeb audio...and findem for 109...a piece(keep in mind i paid 200 for ONE...PLUS 20 for a service plan)...and the punch hx2(handles 500 rms) is only 119...a piece...so im takin the he2 back...then another thought crosses my mind...why not get her the audiobahn sub thats 80 bucks...the aw1200eu(only difference between it and the american version is...the american version has an fs of 28 hz...and the european version has an fs of 24)

so i think...putting it in a custom made PORTED box...it should sound sweet as hell...

or how does an hx2 with LARGE PORTED BOX...(incase she decides to get 2 offem...and she can run 300 into each...would that be underpowering them considering they take 500 rms??

OR...should ijust get 2 he2,,,run them sealed...with about 300 going into each...and they hold 400 rms...

keep in mind..this is for SPL...she wanna make people feel it in their house...but at the same time...i wanna have SOME Sq for when i get in the car...i mean...i love rap...i love rock too...she does as well...i just dont want it to sound like sh*t...when im in the car...or when she plays her rap

thankx

hey ported is good for sq too i had 4 12's ported in an s10 ex cab truck doin 153' certified at 150 but ithad great sq to it my box was tuned a little high but it still would rench ur guts... it just depends on how u port the bod and how big of a box you r gonna use.. in my own opinion i would shy away from rockford.. but its up to how much u wanna spend on her mind you i was using lanzar subwoofers.. they have great sq capibilities and are great spl subs too.. they got me to world finalls but i found out that i was not loud enough to place but it was my first year too.... if you need some ideas on a box just ask i leardned a few tricks to make cars loud and sound good too ---clyde

I used to have 2 audiobahn aw1200's which were getting 300 watts each, it was pretty loud. I'd go for the AW1200eu its only like 80 bucks at thezeb.com, they're pretty cheap and aren't bad with that power. Oh yeah, I don't mean to be an ass, but could you shorten your sig? It takes up almost a whole page on my screen, thanks, and good luck with whatever you do.

I just bought my girlfriend two Vega 124's and and EQ 4.3, 230x2@4ohm, and going to build a box for her shortly. They are only $125 or so @ www.carmedia1.com new. They are conservatively rated at 400Wrms/800Wmax. They are great for a ported enclosure and will get louder than RF's anyday. They don't need a lot of power to get loud, and they handle a ton of it. Is the 600.1 stable @1ohm like it's 1200.1 counterpart? If so, get the DVC's, you can run 1 12 @2ohm with 600watts to it, and if you want a second one, run 2 of them @1ohm and then give'em 300each. Even though it's not anymore power it will be louder from adding the second sub anyway. If you want the specs on the box I'm building for them shoot me an e-mail. All the guys will be jealous cause your girl has a louder system than them.
Or get 1 Vega 15D4 and that'll do some damage with only 1 sub, for $155 you can't beat that.
