Topic: another sub bites the dust...

my tempest didnt like late night tip ALL the way up and i riped half of the surround off the darn thing.... thank god im getting my dd9515 soon so this will never happen again.
by the way is dual 12 guage sound like enough to carry the juice of my mtx? (each coil)[ 12-29-2001: Message edited by: IceWaLL ]

Heh, how much were you putting the tempest?
My 9515 laughs at my D2 on Late Night Tip.
Tune it to 33 HZ and feel yourself be shaken
to bits!!

the sub just went boooom booooom BLAP!!!! and it sounded like metal hitting wood. but later i found a HUGE rip in the surround.soon my DD9515 will come and it will see 2 mtx81000d's at 2ohms each. that should get the sub moving a bit.

34 hz tune at 700 watts... or (mtx81000d at 4ohms)

12 gauge should be fine.

u should seen all the smoke coming from the porthole from the volenhag 20 minutes after it got installed....hehe...could it have been theres no subsonic filter on the amp...and i was playin tongue ring??? or was it because i took the sub out...and found the negative wire on the terminal of the box was disconnected(dunno how)...or could it have been i forgot to break it in(lol!!!!)...when we were poundin it...it was smellin kinda funny...lol...maybe its a combination of all three...HAHAHA....ahh well....stuff happens...cant wait till i get my audiobahns in...and my box tuned to 30 hz...
