Hey,

I'm on the verge of purchasing a new headunit again, and I really like the Alpine 7977 tuner..

The only problem is I have a 2 channel amp for my components and a monoblock for my subs. Right now, I enjoy playing my rear fill off my temporary headunit and it actually does make my system sound quite a bit louder. The back is probably only being fed 20 watts each.

Will not having my rear fill drastically change the way my system sounds? I adjusted the FAD so all the sound comes to the front just to test, and I like the way the rear fill completes the music (IMO). But I realize the FAD function doesnt accurately reproduce the way the car will sound without rear fill.

Also my option was adding a third amp, but I already have an amp rack and it would introduce install problems (granted it would be a small amp).

let me guys know what you think. I really like the 7977, but do you think going without rear fill for a while is okay , and also running three mismatched amps in my system...

Dan
