i had used a rockford 500.2 and a cadence z 1200....

and for now im using an mtx 81000d at 4ohms (temp) and this things puts those amps to shame. the bass is MUCH clearer and i cant hear any distortion even when the sub totaly gives under pressure.

PLUS to much surprise it doesnt even make my 60 amp alt strugle!!! now it is only pushing 700 watts but still its a big amp and those 700watts are of much more quality.

if u are looking for a high power quality amp and you want to be sure thayt what u have is quality pick up one of these 17 pound beauties.

I cant wait until i have 2 of these actually in my car with my DD (hasnt arived yet)

was the 500.2 one of the old power series? 250x2 at 4 ohms? or a 500.2 that's 125x2 at 4 ohms?

Right on! I just installed 6 MTX 8000 series 12"s and 3 8100D 1500 watt amps and damn was I suprised. Talk about crisp clean power. It is about time there was a reasonably priced amp that could put the higher priced ones to shame.

unless that Bd is modified, it will put out around same power as MTX..maybe 100watts more..but at those levels of wattage it aint gonna be audible at all...

i think im just gonna upgrade the battery and the wires on the alt

i love the way the thing powers up... it sounds like its nuclear... "woooooaaaaa!" then its as quite as a mouse

and i went blasting around the towns in my area and instantly a cop yelled at me. (well it was my fault) but this amp just never seems to give me a bit of trouble and is damn clear.

it says 1200 watts at 2ohms with 2% distortion but i cant hear any distortion at all! however i was able to hear it with my "cleaner" amp which obviously is a lie.

i just thought that people should know that this is a great amp and not to hesitate to buy it.

o yea.... MY SUB GOES OUT TOMMAROW!!!! 1 dd9515.... o man im gonna get film a.s.a.p.!!!!!!! ill show u guys my install and the monster DD

I was thinking of getting an MTX 8100D for my system. I have a 15" shocker extreme dual 1 ohm and i have it wired in a series for 2 ohms and am currently running a lanzar 1200d(money was tight)... I was wondering if the MTX will do better than the Lanzar? And will it be an audible difference?
Thanks,
jsm_42

Bro, you may want to have 4 81000d's on that 9515! I think the reason it's not attacking your alt is cuz you are running it 4 ohm mono. And ya, 9515s are total beasts aren't they? - I like those 52lb monsters myself.
