Definitely cool looking. Judging from the design though... you would probably need to be VERY careful hooking it up. If you neglected to wire up one of the coils... or worse yet, if you wired one out of phase.... You would proably tear the cone to shreds and cause the coils to pretty much shred themselves.

According to dBDon, it costs $5000 USD, weighs 100kilo's, and it will be driven to its buyer personally. Can be had in 6 or 12 coil design (dual or quad x 3). It must handle a BOATLOAD of power!

I am no speaker design expert by any means...but won't the magnet fields being so close result in interferance with each other. Could this result in the sub playing very non-linear?
