Okay, yes, I do need a clue, LOL. I am looking for a pre-amp unit that I can adjust to cut off frequencies above whatever point and cut off frequencies below whatever point. I want to limit the frequency range of each channel to only that of what my speakers are designed to reproduce. 4x6 2-way plate speakers in the doors, 6x9 3-way speakers in the rear deck, and subwoofer(s) in the trunk. Daily driver and I love too put the little nobodies with rattle monsters to shame at the stop lights. Love seeing the look on their faces when a older guy like me has a system that is very loud and crystal clear. [Big Grin] So what do I need ?? What do you recommend ????? Links to product helps greatly. I want to limit the frequency range to only what my speakers are designed to reproduce before the amps. Does that make sense ?? I'm so horrible at trying to put my thoughts into words.

most amplifiers have crossovers built in. A clarion deck in the 900 series should have crossovers as well.

your looking for the macrom line of m1 amps, they have a multi channel ability with bandpass ability. I have yet to see any other amp with this feature. This allows you to Bi amp your components without using passive x-overs.

Kole audio had amps with bandpass ability.
Some of the JL Slashv2 and HD series amps have both bandpass and biamping ability

I want to limit the freq range of the front channels to only what the front speakers can reproduce. I want to limit the rear channels to only what they can reproduce. The 2-way 4x6 plate speakers in the doors frequency range is not the same as the 3-way 6x9's in the rear deck. I want to get everything out of all my speakers without distortion. Problem is, I can't modify the interior of the car. Have to stay in factory locations with factory speaker grills. Nothing noticeable other then the headunit. I'm also limited by costs. So I will have to save up. Just asking what will do the job. Built in crossover either lets too much lows for 4x6's or cuts out mid bass from 6x9's. I can't afford to replace the speakers and amps. I just want to be able too play loud and reduce possibilities for distortion, but also let each speaker produce the full range it is designed for. I hope that makes since. I can have a hard time putting my thoughts in words.

doesn't your deck have separate front and rear xovers? 95% sure it does
set the fronts to 120Hz, rears to 50Hz, subs to 80Hz. simple as that
