I read about the maxx link, and I think its for strapping amps to have better input into amps? I have sundown 1500s strapped and have read where people still use the maxx links on those also? What is benefit of the maxx link and wouldnt it do same thing as the HFEQ EQ? It says it has 9 volt line-driver outputs also.

maxxlink will do better for you.
HFEQ is for an easily adjustable basic fullrange equalizer.
The maxxlink is a strapping module, linedriver, remote gain, and parametric bass eq
