but still not sure. the specs that came with the amp says input 190mv-6v my linedriver says it putsout 6v. does this mean that my amp can handle a low of 190mv-max6v. is that all i can put into the amp. if i got a h/u that puts out 6v would that but kool 2. i also need to know if the h/u putout 2v and the drive puts out 6v is the h/u volt now overriden.

no ok the line driver is basically an amplifier for the audio signal from your headunit. say you buy a headunit that is low power puts out like say a half volt or whatever. well, depending on the line driver it can boost it up to a possible 6 volts. same way an amplifier can take a 12 volt signal and convert it to sometimes upwards of 200 volts (converting watts to volts)

number two
on your amp yes its max input is 6 volts which doesnt neccesarily mean you cant put more than 6 volts into it but what it means is that once you do start pushing past that 6 volts you chance ****ing up your amp. so basically just dont turn the signal gain on the line driver up very far and you will be golden.
