Topic: okay i need an in dash eq.
i know some of you say they suck etc... i persoannlly use the image dynamics 30bands in the rear for set adjustments, but i cant leave anything alone. i need the one up front to be able to do some minor adjustments for different types of music. maybe just me. anyway not wanting to spend 2000$ on a simple in dash unit what are my choices. i know audiocontrol has them but we carried them for almost 4 years and they seemed to be a crapshoot as to ones that either died or produced lots of noise in the system. not all of them did but we had more than out share of issues with them. please give me some suggestions. i almost scored a par-245 the other day but ill be damned i missed it by a mere few minutes. help me out here

You can get it modded too. I'd keep my eye on ebay for that. -------------------- quote: it would all be for nothing without my favorite cawk-smoker NAvi

my brother runs a PEQ7, on the fly adjustments are sweet...nice piece indeed, solid line driver-his fronstage all the sudden sounded like it was running off 4times the power (only has 40rms per side on his comps). The XEQ is basically the same but with sub control and clipping indicator... -------------------- Transport:Panasonic CQ-TX5500D Vaccum Tube Analog Processing: PPI DCX730 Amplifiers: Audison LRx6.9 4200/2300/2300SE's Fronstage: Rainbow Platinum Cal28s/Profi MR110's 4's/RS225'4s Subs: (2x) Dynaudio MW190's

I'll be putting the Alpine W200 HU in and using it to control the Alpine H701 processor that'll be in the trunk.Wouldn't that work for you since you want to be able to control the EQ from the drivers' seat? -------------------- Too much of everything is just enough.

so I installed the KEQ-5 from Arc Audio and I love it. what a difference the line driver makes, especially when you have JVC headunit. now I have to play around a little more with the eq to dial it in just the way I want it. -------------------- It's all about Midgets and Monkeys!
