alright...i don't know much about either of these items, but what it seems like to me is that the PXA is more of a surround sound, Dolby unit....and the PRA is more functional towards musical SQ....am i right?

well depends witch PXA your talking about the PXA-H600 is pretty much like the PRA-H400 but it sets itself up automaticly and only has x-over for the subs. The PXA-H510 is the surround sound processor but has some of the features as the pra-h400 and pxah600.

Hi,

The 600 sells for around 700, that is if
you can find it. It seems Alpine has decided
not to produce it anymore and probably expects the 510 to replace it. I should have
bought the 600 before it became difficult to
find.
