i have the oppertunity to purchase an art duel 31 band eq for 129 at a friend's shop, it looks solid, xlr and rca inputs and outputs, i think the model is the 244 or something.
Has anyone had experience with art audio pieces, should i invest in one and power supply and put it in the front channels of my system?

Do you mean the Art IIQ231 dual 31 EQ? If I'm right, these equalizers should be similar to the IDQ31 that Image Dynamics sells - I think they're basically Yamaha equalizers converted to 12V power supply. If that's so, you should be just fine.
