I will be purchasing a eq soon and I want some recommendations.
Here are my choices:
1) Phoenix Gold EQ 232
2) Orion DEQ30
3) Image Dynamics IDQ 31
4) AudioControl DQT
I will be actively crossing my 3-way system with an TRU Tech F-1 with the Burr-Brown upgrade.
Thanks for any advice!

I have a 232 if you are interested....I would just have to make sure its working (been boxed in the closet for a while)

If you can afford the AC unit, I hear its nice.

you can find the orion deq30 and the ppi deq230 for under 250 each. the 230 was designed by krell, and the orion is all digital. if i had a budget i would get one of those. you can find some old zed audio 30 band eqs for like hifonics, crunch, and autotek on ebay for pretty cheap as well, but i would be replacing the caps inside(couple bux)

I have a Concept 97.2 (Orion DEQ 30) and to me that is the best EQ I have used thus far. I am an Image Dynamics dealer so i have used the IDQ 31 and I personnaly like the DEQ 30 better. I have also sent you a private message in regaurds to this post.

Go for the audio control...in Belgium we have the UCS Pro from Alto Mobile...its about the same as the DQT but not so expensive
www.altomobile.com

The Audio Control is very expensive here...more then 1000euro

the alto mobile stuff is good and inexpensive go to www.altomobile.com or i have an old lanzar eq before they were bought out very good works great the only bad thing is 1 set of rcas in and 1 out but you can use y adaptors because it uses the 30v technology im looking for a 100.00 dollars for it i have had it for a while. i had it checked out last year by the Lonnie he actually made the eq for lanzar he scoped it out for me and checked it to make sure all 30 octavies worked. he runs alto mobile USA best regards

I love the audiocontrol stuff. I just sold my dqt, cause I need a DQS. Just haven't found a good price on one yet. That thing was amazing, truly.

I really like the DEQ 30 because you can store four seperate zones and change it at the push of a button. The Orion does have 4vrms analog outs and it is a true DC to DC conversion and that is more then enough in my opinion. All the listed EQ's are good peices it really comes down to personal preference I guess.

I would wait a couple more weeks for the arrival of the DQXS from Audio Control. IMHO it's the most complete unit on the market. (or at least coming to market)
