Not Dolby according to Erik Vaulkenburg at Fosagte- and Jim Fosgate.

The unit is all analog, and thus can't be dolby digital. I have seen one and held one, but not heard one. It should be really cool!

damn lieing crutchfield they said that Fosgate adn Dobly worked closely together and it can take non-dobly music ie: regular cds and put it into a 5 channel emviroment with added depth and clarity. I still think it would be neat to have one.

Oh, no they are right about that. I must have mis understood your question. The RF5000 can do all of that, and Jim Fosgate did work very closely with the Dolby Labs to create it. I thought you were asking if it were along the lines of a Dolby processor. It is and isn't. The RF5000 does everything in the analog domain, while most Dolby processers convert to digital. Kind of neat how this thing works- definitaly an "Advanced Topic" tyoe of thing.

Is it supposed to work like a center channel type amp but help control all aspects of the sound intstead of one? and doesn't alpine have something similar or is it jus t another center channel amp? I probably wouldnt buy it unless i had money to kill but it would be one of those neat little things to say you have in your car.
