I'm looking for an EQ with a digital in and out . so far the only one I know of is the Orion DEQ 30 .most of the digital EQ's on the market have RCA in's and A/D , D/A converters . I want to keep the signal chain all digital as long as possible . or if u know of a shop or company that can bypass the A/D converter and put in a fiber optic input , that would be great as well . thanx in advance guys .

i personally used a deq30 between an alpine 7949 head and an alpine pxa-h600 processor and it worked fine. what exactly are you looking to do? what type of head and offboard processor are you looking to have the eq go between? i personally scrapped my alpine and orion stuff and got the premier p9 headunit and processor. does everthing my old setup did and more.

head unit is a Sony C90 with a coax digital output that can be converted to fiber optic with a device that Sony sells . middle processor would ideally be a PG TiDEQ . all digital , 31 bands with adjustable Q on each band , plus 3 bands of parametric adjustment for each independent side . only problem is it has only RCA in and out . last piece is a Sony 4000x processor . planning on mainly using it as a digital crossover . the 10 band parametric EQ will prolly come in handy too . I know this sounds like hella overkill , and in alot of ways it is . but the vehicle its being installed in is a 99 S-10 extended cab . very bad sonic characteristics due to reflection off the rear glass , seat distance , etc.... I want to keep the signal chain digital until the 4000x for a few small reasons that prolly dun matter to anyone else . ease of install , less chance of induced engine noise , not having to mess with gain settings as much , overall sound quality , etc ... I was told of a new ALpine processor thats coming out , PXA-H700 I think . sounds like it did everything I needed in one unit . if anyone knows anything about it I'd appreciate some info . thanx for the posts so far guys .

I use the 4000X in my car, and love it. The precision is amazing (except the crossover points).

I used to use the 210EQ, which I still have. It also has digital inputs. I can make you a really good deal on it if you want it.

I don't know of any amplifiers with digital inputs, so I don't know if you will need digital outputs on the processor.
