I have a Phoenix Gold AX-406A. I like it cause you can make your own resistor packs to set your crossover frequencies and it costs maybe $2 bucks at Radio Shack to change your frequencies... Plus, it has a sub level knob, which is really cool - +/-18dB i think.

The Punch X is not a true 3 way - it is a dual 2 way. I would rather have the Coustic XM-3e (or the MTX or Clarion equivalents). This is easily the most popular xover of all time.

For a real 3 way (with a bandpassed output) look for the Coustic XM-5e. I did, and it is awesome!

Personally I like AudioControl products.. they are high fidelity and easy to adjust, and they look darn spiffy too.

ShadowStar

(BTW, the 3xs in your case)

The Xm-5 is a great piece, I've used one for the last 6-7 years.
I like my Image Dynamics IDX-24 too.

I too like the Image Dyanmics IDX-24. I personally use the IDX-24 comp. I am going to sell it along with my IDQ-31's as soon as the ID-One comes out.

I Agree with Dukk, JC2 AND ShadowStar, they each make nice pieces! I think though, for the price and ultimate flexibility, I like the coustic piece a little better....

coustic xm-3 is the best. i have used audiocontrol and coustic, and both of them are great products, but the coustic sounds better.

I like the AC xovers, and used to be hyped about the 'exact' settings of the resistors. Eventually, I came to realize that I wanted easier flexibility and moved over to the Coustic. I have used them exclusively ever since.
