Hey I got a 3 way electronic crossover, 2 highpass, 1 low pass. Reading through the manual you can run RCA's from high pass output 1 to high pass input 2 and get 24db output. Why would I do this? The directions also say that both cross over points have to be set the same. Will this give more output/volume to my front end?

No, it just gives you a steeper slope. With a steeper slope you can lower the xover frequency. This is most advantageous with midbass...

I don't see the advantage of going High pass to high pass, however, high pass and then low pass will give you a bandpass filter. (desirable for some mids and midbass)
