Ok, speaking as an audiophile... less really is more! If you really NEED processors (other than a parametric eq and x-over), you more than likely need to re-evaluate your system! Phase controllers for SPL are ok... but really, time delay, BBE, DSP yadda yadda yadda??? This should stir up some emotion retorts!

I have 2 equalizers. well I will have 2 if I get a value for a transformer for my alesis meq-230 if that is possible.

The alesis will be mounted in my glove box and so is the electronic clarion..

the clarion 9-band graphic is just for different types of music and it's going to be shut off if I compete with it.

the meq-230 is going to be set for rta and shut off for sound quality..

Shane, I'm working out the details on actually modding the board inside the unit to use "phantom" power from your amplifier. The board requires a +/- 15V supply, and this is generally supplied (and nicely regulated!) by the din plug on your amps (if so equipped). This way, it will be IASCA and USAC legal, and you will not even have to think about noise! Your idea of the Alesis for RTA only is a good one! Your other idea for the 9 band is also good, as long as you DONT use both EQ's at the same time! I'm not sure how "defeatable" the clarion is, you may need to actually switch RCA's while at comps to completely eliminate it from your system. The transformer idea works, I used it, however, without having the power supply about 5 feet from the Alesis, it hums, which slurps! Let me get this other board mod worked out, and I'll send you and email with instructions if you want to attempt it yourself.

Wow that's great I do have one of those din outputs on my A600.2

Sounds like a great plan
I can't wait to get it up and running..

The eq has a defeatable function just just hold in the eq adjustment button and it shuts of the equalization part but you still are able to adjust sub volume and crossover points...

I have take you again for all of this help..
I love this place

I haven't used ANY EQ in years and we always do very well locally. RTA scores are usually around 32 which is fine for me. I might add one this year solely for RTA but first I want to see how many shows are going to be around here!
As for SQ, we have been very fortunate. At a number of shows we have beat out people who later do quite well at finals. An EQ can't help a system that doesn't already sound great.

I do really like my BBE though......
