I am planning to run a two amp system, the us amps vlx-400 to my 8- 15's and a usa-150 for an 8 inch component set. I have the audiocontrol four.1, and some older eqt's already, and was wanting to get a crossover. My question is which one would be best for my system. I have been looking at the 24xs and the 3xs. I have heard that the s.w.a.t. technology on the 24xs is pretty much useless but I just wanted to see if anyone here has had experiance with either of these crossovers.

the swat isn't totally useless it's for you to align two siganls that are on different planes. The 24xS, higher THD+N 120 vs 110 and it's 4th order

I had an alphasonic amp for my first amplifier and i had an alpine amp too. Well going from those ****ty crossovers that were only 6 and 12 db per octave crossovers to a 24dB per octave slope I found a huge difference. THe 24XS is an awesome piece. See Ya

Well now I have Zapco amplifiers and lots of other stuff too but I found the 24XS to be an amzing piece just make sure yoiu havethe right chips in their for the crossover settings. See ya

All the people, that I sold them Audiocontol products told me, that they wouldn't change them for anything in the world.
If you want only two way CO you can chose, between 24 XS and 2 XS. The biggest difference among two, are that with 24 XS you can adjust phase indefinitely between 0 and 180 degrees. This will (sonically) bring your bass in front. But with 8x15 and with only one 8" (???) you can't speak much about SQ and bass in front
I hope, that this doesn't sound like advertisement for Audiocontrol. There are also some other brands with good crossovers, but Audiocontrol is definitely one of the best.

I;ve got a 2XS too, Nice piece, but since I changed to Coustic with their infinite point adjustment and triple ins/outs, it is all I use. I like a deck with triple outs and the Coustic is perfect for keeping sub volume control and still having an outboard Xover.

Well I ordered the 24xs I figured since I only have two amps this is the best for now, I can always get a second one if I get more amps. I want to see if the swat helps any, and i was already sold on audiocontrol, I love my four.1
