help!
i need some help with this preamp i have just installed. it is a couple years old but it makes a nasty sound when the volume on it is turned up or down. its a nasty static sound but it doesnt make it when it sits at one volume. i am very picky i know but i dont want to turn my volume up to someone i am trying to impress and have that nasty sound. can anyone help??? please any info will be greatly appreciated

Hello.. sounds like an analog pot problem..
you need some electrical cleaner.. (WD-40) would be the most readily available.. spray it in and move the pot back and forth to work it in/free up the crap in there..
that should do it for ya.
