Im close to buying a nak cd45z, but would like to know is what is everyone using for subwoofer control, as in volume?

I was thinkg of adding the Alpine ERE190 for this.

Why are you looking for a volume control for the subwoofer output?
The 45z is designed to have the subout consistent with the front/rear outputs.
Try a higher model with that feature.
The Nakamichi is definetly audiophile grade, what they are saying is bass is not sur-realistic.

Just to let you know (cause I was going to do something similar), the Alpine ERE-G190 has only two channels of input. If you wanted to use its upper level EQs, then you will have to hook up your highs to it, but all of the incoming signal has to come in through two channels. It has 6 channels of output (sub=mono), but can't handle a 6 channel input. It does however have a built in fader. This notion has made me decide that having a head with 3 pre outs and a ERE-G190 is just wasting 2 preouts.

I have decided to go with something else, like a 3.1 or 4.1 from audiocontrol. It does basically the same things, but will handle more input channels.
