i was perusing around the Pioneer web site, and was checking out the new cd player i am going to be recieving in the mail soon, the Pioneer DEH-P6000 cd player, and was startled to see that there is no dedicated pre-out for the sub... does this mean i dont have a control over my sub level? or an off/on selector? if this is the case, i am thinking of just getting rid of it when i get it and keeping the P400 Premier! can anyone help ? thanks, Jason

i thought the 6000 had a sub level control... the site says it's a non-fading sub/front output, so basically it's an independent output and would be ideal for pushing a sub amp

it has two outputs (so the pioneer guy told me at audio thunder) one for front, the other for rear or non-fading. you can hook these things up in all kinds of weird ways if your using the high-level outputs. but why, you only really need two outputs. one for the front, one for the subs. if you really want speakers for rear fill or whatever, use the high level lines on the head. you can use an amp with them two, it's not like it matters, there rear-fill. pioneer is so weird. but there customer service is awsome. maybe just cause i threaten to leave my house and walk down the street to talk to them in person, i don't know. they never believe me that i can be there in two minutes. receptionist is nice though.
