I am currently rebuilding a friend/workmates car for SPL comp. He is currently running a 5303r but is bent on selling to buy another woofer and a cheaper deck. I think a higher quality deck, 5v output, and cleaner signle would give him an edge againt those using a deck of lesser quality and output. What's your skinny on the matter?

I figure buy a high output, low impedence deck with as few features as possible. This gives all the performance where needed.
