I have a Clarion 9575rz, and I heard someone mention that Clarions skip at high dbs. Is this true? Anyone have experience with this? My system is under construction right now, it will probably hit in the low 150s.

My Alpine skipped at high dB's, (only 140's). I switched to a Sony, (unfortunately), and it don't skip - but just has other major problems.

That will highly depend upon the quality of the install, the quality of the recording (cd scratches, etc), and the frequency being played.

Try it and find out. If it skips, try remounting at slightly different anlges, bracing it more, removing touching objects, etc....
