Can someone tell me the differences between the Alpine CDE-7840 and CDA-7840? Is it just the year difference?

I'm not familiar with the CDE 7840, but I own the cda 7840 basically, in alpine terms....cdm=the ability to control M-bus changers(no disc titling)....cda=Ainet changer capability(disc titling and a few other features i never really used)....cde=no changer controls on the deck at all. hope this helps clear it up for ya

they stopped makin the cda 7840 in '99, I have no idea when they made the cde7840.
