Hi Everyone,

I know it's not the P1R that's giving me the poor radio reception, because It's the same quality as my DEH-P7000r I previously owned. The reception sounds horrible. I was wondering if there's anything I can do to make it better. I live in los angeles so reception at home is wonderful, but in the car its a different story. I don't know if my stock attenia is working, but I've been thinking about adding one of those attenia that are about 9 inches long and stick out from the center of the rear. Do you guys know what kind of attenia I am talking about? Or is there any way to get better radio reception? I was told that the P1R should deliver near CD quality Radio reception, especially in my area!

Thanks
David

anyone who told you that you would be getting near cd quality radio reception with the p1r was lying! not because the head unit, but because radio at best is 64bit sound. i work at a station here in lubbock, and only the national broadcast feeds get their own 64k isdn line. i would assume that the stations where you are are better, but a cd is 128bit... so your headunit could never get that type of sound quality out of a radio station... sorry.

oh and for your problem... try getting an antenna amplifier... that should increase your range/reception of the stations.
