The Jensens aren't really that bad....I owned one in my old 2500 and it was a decent radio, screen looked ok not great but for 400 bucks I couldn't complain
I have a pioneer D3 now and I love it, had it for 2 years in a 150+ db vehicle and only issue I had with it is the Navigation stopped working because of a roller...60 dollar fix and got it back in 6 days

The main differences between the 714 and 814 is *the screen quality. LCD on the 714 versus WVGA on 814. much nicer picture. *reverse-tilting screen(nice to have in some vehicles) *sound processing-5.1 DSP *13 band EQ i believe, with nice crossover and some time alignment *5V rca outputs instead of 2V *dual USB instead of one *2 A/V inputs instead of one *DIVX support *Excelon series with better warranty and sound processing *nicer remote control with dualzone *nicer looking user interface
The 814 is the most badass DVD(non-nav)deck on the market for 2009. and it is also nav ready. has bluetooth. has one of the sirius radio parts built in.

just installed my jensen. eventhough it's an older model, the sound is dynamic. i am really surprised by how good it sounds. BTW, it's the vm9411. i know it's not the greatest double din unit invented but like Justin stated, for only $132 and change, i'm really impressed. This was put in the family ride but for my car, I have the JVC awx-820 I think that's the model number or somewhere close to it. Also have a Valor unit that's really good too.
