i'm looking to upgrade my hu to a dvd unit...how hard or easy is it to defeat the "play only while parked" wiring setup?

DVD is the way to go the skip a lot less!! and it is not hard to fix the parking display only problem!!

...change that to the pioneer avh-p4100dvd...how hard is it to get rid of the "in-park" mode...?

just add a pinswitch on the e-brake wire to ground. then you just push the button any time you wanna do video after powering in on.

or you can use a relay, and then it will do it automatically
