Hey, I'm writing this because I got beat. I picked up an Alpine CDA-9884 (Japanese version) which posted in their manual says 4v, I tested mines today and found out that its only 2.2v!!WTF Now most of you know, my middle name is "Mistakes" so "How do you test your HU to see if its 4v or not?"
Here is what I did.

1: played a 65Hz test tone via db drag cd
2: all extra's set to zero
3: cranked her up to volume level 35 Max!
4: Fluke set to Vac, and used my O-scope to check for clipping
5: touched the jacks and got 2.2 (but with no clip wave)

correct me if I did something wrong!! [Frown]
