Just upgraded from a kenwood z919 to a Alpine CDA-9884Ji version. The American version is 2v but the japan one is 4v!

For the Alpine users, So far.... what setting have you found to be the best for you?
ex. sub woofer volume
Bass level
HPF, LPF..etc I know most people will say test and find out but just trying to find out from experienced users now.

in my limited experience with an alpine (used one in my one week long crx build and was loaned one for two weeks to try in my explorer to keep my amps out of protect using the mute roll) I didnt get much chance to play around but these were the settings I used.

Subout -> +15 (maxed)
bass -> 0
bass freq-> 50 hz (explorer burped at 49hz)
bandwidth-> 1 I think? (narrowest one)
volume -> 23 out of 35
LPF-80 hz
HPF -not used on head unit

settings with the crx were the same for sub out (+15) and burp volume (23).

Final results were crx 152.9 in testing (152.0 at a 1x) this was my first crx install ever done and bought the car...did some engine and front suspension work, installed batt, ran wire, built boxes, threw everything in and tested in 6 days to get that score. Used 2 solo X 10s and 2 memphis mojo 4kw's strapped at 0.5 ohm off a single 2150 with 8 runs. was street A legal in 07

Final results for the explorer were 157.8 db in testing and 154.9 db (same setup on one amp) at a 1x. Using 6 solo X 10s and 4 AB500.1s with 2 nsb90s and 40 runs of 1/0 total. was street C legal
