Seasons greeting to all termlab forum members and guests alike, I have a problem installing a aftermarket hu in a 2008 chevrolet equinox, the problem is after removing the stock hu the accesories wire and the door chime doesnt work so I had to hot wire the red wire to the yellow but the draw back is you have to manually turn the hu off after removing the key and that really is a head ache . If any one knows how to install otherwise or have a wiring diagram that explains how to do it properly that would be appreciated. Thanks for any positive inputs on this.

and it's NOT just the chime that isn't working. many warning lights and safety systems as well. rear obstacle sensors, turn signals(depending on which one.)

That part should work, as long as you don't have Bose. Your turn signals aren't going to click unless you add relays. If you have factory rear obstacle sensor, those may not work, or certainly the audio tones will be limited to the first distance.

If no factory amps or onstar, the part is cheaper and hanging on the wall 16inches from this computer monitor. I could get you one for 80. retails 120
