I value your opinion, that's why I proceeded with another question........which you didn't answer. Maybe I should of asked if I should keep the stock radio or get an aftermarket HU instead of how I asked it........

Ok thank you i feel better now.Is there anything wrong with the factory head unit? Are you going to put any amps in your car?If you are going to put any amps in there i'd change it out, with what tho there are way to many choices out there.I keep it simple and stayed with kenwood excelons.

I still say get a on-dash nav, simply because it is easier to hide when in the bad area's.Also it would probably be cheaper in the long run to get a on-dash and a regular head unit, unless you want a dvd option. As far as what head unit to run i have no expertize(sp)in that field.

I cant believe nodody else wants to help you. [Confused]

Assman is right. Wouldn't go INdash unless you ae really looking for something to serve up them dvd's.

the only drawback with ONdash is the smaller screen.

But comparing price and portability, ONdash ftw.

If you are looking for something that has Usb/Ipod connection, I think Pioneer is a good way to go.

I haven't had too many probs with the ipod connection unless you get into the big storage units (80 gig +)

Any other Q's?

^^^^ good answers. Also what type of car is it going into. A double din nav unit does have an oem kinda look when installed which helps. (if your car can support it) plus with dealers asking $2k plus for the oem units its a no brainer.
