anybody have any experience with either of these in a high 50's bass race vehicle? just wondering how the hard drives would hold up to the vibrations.

I'm familiar with the KDNX5000, we sell them at the shop. However, we haven't ever put one in a 150+ vehicle. I'd imagine if you installed it very solid it should be fine.

we did a harddrive go bad on one we put on a harley

I was in Gainesville, Fl for 11 years. I actually moved back Ohio at the end of 2006.

the x991 uses flash memory i beleive, not a "hard drive"
